Bi Racial Babies

'Winter Splendour' is a biracial doll produced from a normal pink/flesh colour vinyl doll.
She is the very limited edition sculpt by Kimberlie Durden called Winter Splendour, one of only 100 worldwide and made especially for Irrisistables in the US. The sculpt was I believe commissioned by that doll supplier, and can be bought only from their website.

I have brought her to life as a gorgeous bi-racial baby, and she has gone through various transitions which will demonstrate how I can fine tune a doll. The final hairstyle is just her hair sprayed with plain water and scrunched up, and teased with a tail comb into a loose style I think she suits both styles, and they can be achieved still, by wetting and scrunching into waves, or combed straight...best of both worlds.
I used Genesis heat set paints in the ethnic tone colours, natural colour black (no dyes) wavy quality angora mohair. Living skin effect with pores and blushing, shadows and veins.
I have taken all photos in natural light at different times of the day.

I have used premium mohair, which is beautifully soft and fine just like a baby's. I have rooted her eyelashes with the same hair, and deliberately left them a little longer as befits the ethnic characteristics. I have created her lip colour with a mixture of browns, skin tone, and burgundy, and sealed with gloss to make them look moist. On her eyelids I have used satin varnish by genesis just to give a realistic touch, although it doesn't show up too well in this photo.

Her hair is rooted with a 42 guage needle to achieve a very natural look.

The paci, is held in place by a magnet inside the head.
